| Structural Engineer Structural Engineer, Middle East, Qatar Job Summary As the region’s leading provider of architectural and engineering design services to the built environment, our client is committed to design excellence in the delivery of first class solutions which combine, innovation, imagination and best practice. Due to their ongoing expansion a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Structural Engineer with ETABS experience to be based in their office Technical Competencies * Honours Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering * Graduate Membership of the Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or civil equivalent * Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in engineering design * Recognised training of software packages i.e. AutoCAD, ETABS, ProKon, Safe software, the Microsoft suite of products * Experience in the use of structural analysis design software. * Must be familiar with researching, preparing and presenting presentations and reports. * Will be commercially aware and have a flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility accepted. * Analytical approach to structural design. Essential * Familiarity with British codes Behavioural Competencies Essential * Ability to work as part of a team * Able to use own initiative * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) * Able to plan workload efficiently and meet deadlines Responsibilities * Practical design consultancy using skills and knowledge on a range of building structural techniques, and applying to various circumstances. * The analysis of briefs and data. * Contribution to the development of the multi disciplined project team approach. * Assistance in the execution of projects within defined design and cost parameters. * Undertaking research, data collection and presentation of information. * Presentation of results to clients under supervision of project manager. * Representing our client on Site visits.
