| QA/QC MANAGER (Concrete Production) Job Description The Quality Control Manager is responsible for the quality control of the whole concrete production process starting with sampling and testing of raw materials upon reception, to the final test results obtained on the hardened concrete poured at site. He manages the laboratory team at the batching plant as well as on site. He supervises all delivery operations, making sure that the product exceeds specifications at all time. He handles any technical problems encountered on site and performs required adjustments. He promotes the laboratory department to the client and ensures the execution of any required technical assistance and testing. Reporting to the General Manager, Responsibilities � Responsible for the Laboratory � Distribute tasks to his subordinates and optimizes the efficiency of the team � Uses available resources to optimize the product quality and laboratory presence on the field. � Establishes, uses and maintains effective quality control measures � Insures that pertinent quality control reports are created on a regular basis. � Establishes exemplary personal conduct at all levels to maintain the respect of subordinates, superiors and clients � Reports to his superior and to the supplier any inconsistency in the quality of the received raw materials and makes sure that appropriate actions are taken � Provides technical assistance to clients and consultants � Communicate lab test results to clients through professional reports � Produces mix designs tailored to the specifications of the clients � Attends on a regular basis sites during pours � Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the laboratory fleet at his disposal Required Qualifications: � 5 + years of similar experience with a multinational construction company. � Civil Engineering graduate in related discipline. | |
