| Project Manager Ideally the applicant should have experience of managing large scale integrated security projects, which have included at least the following disciplines. As project values can be subjective depending on their geographical location, please note the indications of system size, in terms of components in each element, rather than project value. Although if potential applicants can give an indication of project value, then it would be appreciated. CCTV/IP video – in excess of 300 cameras Access control – in excess of 200 controlled points Alarm monitoring – in excess of 150 monitoring points Physical security including pedestrian turnstiles, vehicle barriers/blockers PID’s Control room/Command Centre installation Infrastructure installation (most likely by a third party or directly employed subcontractor) FAT SAT Overseeing commissioning of the above elements. Candidates'' large project experience should include systems that have been installed on a clients existing, or new security network. Knowledge of IT networks would be an advantage, as would experience of Fibre Optic infrastructure. P&L responsibility is a prerequisite, as is a good working knowledge of MS Project, as well as other MS programs, Word and Excel. Ideally the candidate should have managed numerous subcontractors simultaneously. Also, as project meetings will involve knowledgeable and high level individuals from a number of parties inc, client, main contractor and other subcontractors, then the candidate needs to be comfortable in that environment. Candidates need to understand that as the project is in a remote geographical location of Qatar, a normal 8 hour day and family oriented existence could be difficult to maintain. Anyone thinking of relocating needs to give this serious consideration. Candidates with the above experience gained in UAE/Middle East and /or already based there would be at an advantage. | |
