| Engineering Manager There is an opening for Engineering Manager in one of the well established Companies based in Qatar with extensive experience in Oil & Gas. Experience • Min 20 years Design Engineering experience, min 8 years in management/senior positions and min 3 years as Engineering Manager. Preferable Overseas and Middle East experience working with multinational engineers and clients. • Track record of successfully leading and developing engineering teams and surpassing client & Internal expectations. • Knowledge in industry standard codes and practices related to engineering, design and construction • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Knowledge of Engineering Software. • Oil & Gas Experience Essential Responsibilities • Develop and grow the engineering capabilities of the organisation. • Confer with management, Project personnel, Proposals and Client representatives to discuss project specifications and procedures. • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. • Analyse technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the project and future Market requirement. • Direct, review, and approve Engineering design and changes. • Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. • Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of Engineering contracts. • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department. • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services. • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients. • Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications. • Set technical goals within broad outlines provided by Senior Management.
