| Sr. Legal Researcher Position Profile: QDB intends to launch the advisory and the venture capital activities by the end of the year. To assist with these launches a Senior Legal Researcher is needed in the Legal Department The selected candidate will report to the Legal Affairs Manager. The Senior Legal Researcher should have at least the following experience/background 1. Excellent knowledge of Qatari law or other civil law system 2. Fluent in English and Arabic (writing, typing and speaking) 3. (5+) years recent PQE experience in a reputable investment bank, corporate finance or an international law firm dealing with M&A, banking issues and corporate finance 4. Motivation to work in a dynamic team 5. Someone who has previously worked as a lawyer and/or legal researcher in the Gulf is ideal 6. Degree preferred: Law and / or Finance related field ROLE: Responsibilities will be wide ranging and include advising on, drafting and negotiating a full range of contracts in the investment, and banking fields coupled with the unique perspective of being involved in the legal oversight of invested businesses under the venture capital arm of the bank. The role is intentionally broad to ensure a full range of experience across the business supporting all the business units requirements for legal support. | |
